Position Description
Music Director of the Contemporary Service (Part-Time)
Principal Function
- Be responsible for planning, promoting and supervising the program of church music which will assist the church in its basic functions of worship, proclamation, education and ministry.
- Be directly responsible to the Senior Pastor.
Regular Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and lead music for our contemporary service.
- Direct a weekly volunteer worship team.
- Work with Senior Pastor in planning and facilitating worship services and developing a comprehensive music program.
- Work with the Music Committee to prepare and submit an annual music ministry budget.
- Supervise and lead a weekly rehearsal for all praise band members.
- Maintain a faithful Bible study and prayer life.
- Maintain a program of self-improvement activities through conferences and clinics as related to the total field and ministry.
